Player Characters
I've decided to add my first Anarchy Online character, Matakishi, into the mix. I no longer play him online because he's so gimpy but he can shine on the tabletop. Here's a very old screen shot of Matakishi, he's a Meta-Physicist and has a selection of pets to help him. Here's the finished Matakishi, a Mantic figure, with his three pets.
And a group shot of all the pets with some other Nano Mage Meta-Physicists.
Although the meatball pets are my favourite there are more powerful Meta Physicist pets that take the form of demons. These two are Reaper Bones miniatures.
Here are a pair of Shades. Shades are notum enriched assassins from the Shadowlands who can move across the battlefield unseen to strike with lethal force at close range. Shades, like Meta-Physicists, are an advanced player character option.
These are Void miniatures from Ral Partha Europe. Here are some of the starter characters. A Soldier and an Engineer (both Reaper miniatures) and an Atrox Enforcer from East Riding Miniatures.
The Soldier is wearing Omni Carbonum Armour and the Enforcer is wielding support beam of intolerance, a favourite weapon for an Atrox Enforcer.
The Engineer has built herself a Slayer Droid.
Another Reaper Engineer. Both the Slayer Droids are oop Alpha Forge castings.
This Enforcer is from Brother Vinnie's.
A pair of Martial Artists from Aberrant Games.
Carlo and Carla Pinetti are representatives of the Law Firm of Pinetti, Pinetti, and Pinetti. They may be employed by a Bureaucrat of sufficiently high standing as close protection. They are formidable 'negotiators' trained to close deals with a finality not often witnessed.
Both Pinettis are from East Riding Miniatures.
Here are both the Bureaucrats with their robot bodyguards and the Pinetties. All the miniatures for the characters are from Reaper. Here are the Adventurers with some of their morphed forms. They're missing their leet forms which are being cast at the moment. The trees are from Games Workshop.
The Doctors.
The Fixers with NPC Fixers in the background.
Nano Technician, Violent Vagabond (who would make a decent Trader) and a Soldier. NT and Soldier are Reaper miniatures, the Vagabond is from ERM.
Here are all the basic Player Character options together. Two of each of Soldiers, Fixers, Enforcers, Engineers, Bureaucrats and Doctors.
Omni Tek
Omni-Tek is the largest hyper-corporation in the universe and controls vast interests and planets in a variety of star systems. Omni-Tek has the lease on Rubi-Ka and originally operated all the Notum mines on Rubi-Ka until the miners began to rebel because of disputes over working conditions in the Notum mines. It was about this time that the Clans began to form and countless Rubi-Ka Civil Wars began. Today Omni-Tek is in control of the southern part of Rubi-Ka. Omni-Tek is a hyper-corporation, with affiliations all over the galaxy. It has a large presence on Rubi-Ka to mine for the rare mineral MTG-411-6, commonly known as Notum. Omni-Tek strives for profit and will let nothing stand in its way of progress. In the Omni-Tek family, you gain material benefits and power - but there are strict rules and regulations that all Omni-Tek employees must abide by. The primary goal for Omni-Tek is material gain. These Omni-Tek guards are from East Riding Miniatures. Not all Omni-Tek employees are so easy to spot. Here is an undercover OmniPol operative with some surveillance bots. The operative is from East Riding Miniatures and the bots are from Ainsty Castings.
Another weapon in the formidable Omni-Tek arsenal are the fearsome Unicorn Troopers.
These huge power armoured soldiers are usually deployed around areas of alien incursion in an attempt to contain the problem. This one is from Mantic. Another formidable item in the Omni-Tek arsenal are the Juggernauts.
My version of the Omni Juggernaut is a resin Tiger APC from Scotia Grendel.
Finally, Omni areas are often guarded by weapons turrets too. These are from Antenociti's Workshop.
This is my Unicorn shuttle, an oop item from Snapdragon Studios (I think). It is a solid resin lump and incredibly heavy which makes it difficult to paint easily. I went for basic Omni grey and I'm happy with the results. I have named her SS Pookiebear because she reminds me of one of my past cats. Originally I planned to paint her orange with stripes before my Anarchy project came along.
This in a shuttle from the Mad Mecha Guy. Useful for transporting supplies or people. I've gone for the people option.
The Clans
The clans are opposed to what Omni-Tek stands for and fight to free Rubi-Ka from its oppressive rule. They are concentrated in the rebel part of Rubi-Ka - on the dry side of the planet. Tir is the Clan capital, home of Simon Silverstone and the Council of Truth which purports to lead, and speak for, the different allied clans. These are my Clan guards, all from Alternative Armies. These Clan Mechs and the Juggernaut are from GW, built, converted and painted by Mason.
Neutrals
The Neutrals are the third faction in Anarchy Online, and represent people who have, for one reason or another, not made a commitment to either Omni-Tek or the Clans. Neutrals make up the smallest group on Rubi-Ka and could be considered to be the most unique faction since the benefits of being neutral are not based on a mirror of the opposing side as Omni-Tek and the Clans are. Neutrals are also very diverse in motivations since there is no one unifying philosophy. My Neutral guards are (now oop) Alpha Forge miniatures. Citizens
Despite being nominally aligned to one of the three factions on Rubi-Ka most settlers and citizens are out to benefit themselves. To this end they often form their own organisations each centred around a privately owned city and, often, one or more Notum mining operations. Here are the Crazy Bees, an independent organisation of martial artists, fixers and adventurers. Being a large, well organised group the Crazy bees can easily mobilise an experienced well equipped force to blitz any conflict zone. All the Crazy Bees are from Aberrant Games.
Other citizens freelance for both the Clans and Omni-Tek in order to earn money. Their diverse professions bring an interesting mix of skills into play. Also from Aberrant Games are these Nano Mage Meta-Physicists and Nano Technicians. Here are a team of Fixers in their distinctive Grid armour. Grid armour phases the Fixer between the physical world and the electronic data stream of the Grid making them extremely difficult to target or damage.
This Fixer assault team are all from East Riding Miniatures. Outlaws
Out in the wilderness exist bands of outlaws, smugglers, bot-hackers and other unsavoury types. Most of these are Alpha Forge miniatures except the group on the left which are from eM-4. These Desert Nomads are from Ironclad Miniatures.
