Warlord troops
These are modern Africans from The Assault Group. I have sorted them into three separate bands each controlled by a different Warlord. Each band consists of two infantry stands (3 dice), one RPG stand (3 dice and anti armour capability) and the Warlord himself who is a charismatic leader (+2 for morale and close combat).
There is an overall command group led by 'The General' and his headhunter accomplice (counts as a +2 Company Commander) with another infantry stand and another RPG stand for his bodyguards. I'm going to add some armoured fighting vehicles to make this a manoeuverable and hard hitting unit. Painted figures Here are the basic troops in their three platoons. This first group has been painted using Foundry 12 Drab triad with Foundry 28 Phlegm Green for their webbing. This group has had Coat D'Arms Faded Khaki triad used on its uniforms and Foundry 12 Drab for its webbing.
This last group has Coat D'Arms Khaki triad uniforms with Coat D'Arms Dark Brown triad webbing.
Finally the General himself, his main 'adviser' and his small bodyguard. These were painted using Foundry 28 Phlegm Green for the uniforms and Foundry 12 Drab for the webbing.
The General is not alone in his struggle against whatever he's currently struggling against, a friend from overseas has come to aid him with advice and support.

Massed armed rabble
Here are the opponents for my Wild Geese mercenaries. General African military figures from The Assault Group. I've bought enough for a huge company in Crossfire terms; 4 platoons of 4 squads each. 16 bases of infantry plus command stands, 55 figures in total. I'll add some support weapons later. For now it's enough to have this horde of infantry.
This lot was a special offer bulk purchase from Dave Thomas and cost a measly £35.00.
All painted and awaiting basing. I painted these figures with a mixture of 'military' colours but did my best to miss-match trousers and shirts to add to the irregular look whilst still keeping to a 'theme'. A few were given white t-shirts to add a little light to the proceedings.
